Last Fan Standing with Bruce Campbell

On December 11, 2018, live at the Troubadour, I was on the game show Last Fan Standing…and I won! Last Fan Standing is the Jeopardy of Nerd Culture where contestants are quizzed on all things comic books, video games, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, horror films, Stephen King novels, and Bruce Campbell filmography. The first round is the audience round where everyone in the audience is given a clicker and they respond to 10 multiple choice questions. The top four contestants (based on number of correct answers and how quickly they answered) are then brought on stage. At the end of the first round, the contestant with the lowest score is eliminated. This is then repeated until only two contestants remain. Their scores are then whittled down to zero and each player chooses one of three categories. Each player is asked five questions from their category. If they get a question wrong, the other player has a chance to steal. Then a winner for this round is declared. The entire process repeats going back to the audience round and four new contestants are chosen. The winner of this second game then goes head-to-head with the winner of the first game in a series of seven questions. The winner is then declared “Last Fan Standing”. Host Bruce Campbell is best known for the Evil Dead series, Burn Notice, Xena, Hercules, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., Bubba ho-Tep, and the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy.
