You Wanna Know How I Got These Scars?

It's been almost four years since we filmed Batman: Gag Order, the three-part webseries set in Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" Universe and this entire time, I have been fairly silent about the entire production. Not much is known about what went on behind the scenes along with the creative process. In fact, most people are unaware that the entire thing was conceived out of backlash towards the media. Heck, if you look at the Iowa Zoetrope YouTube page, the only behind the scenes regarding the production is a makeup speed-through of Liza Bevilacqua applying the Joker makeup to me along with a gag reel which mostly contains Batman outtakes. There is little to no footage of the Joker in that gag reel because, well, it was deathly serious on set when I was in the guise of the Clown Prince of Crime. Combine that with a six hour night shoot from 10pm to 4am and you have a set that was not very fun to be on.

I've finally decided to break my silence and write about the entire experience in a 10-part series of blogs. I'll be sure to break up the monotony by posting about smaller productions in-between such as Elvis Presley: Vampire Hunter and My Internets is Slow. I've also come to find that Wix is starting to post the comments section in the middle of my longer blogs so perhaps by splitting up the entire thing into 10 separate articles, I'll be able to avoid that.
