Homecoming

I never went to any of my high school homecoming dances (not that I cared), but this more than made up for that fact. I was one of the winners of Ace Comic Con's #ACE15daysofgiveaways and won a 3-day pass and a photo-op with Tom Holland who is my favorite actor to portray Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Having seen Spider-Man: Homecoming 5 times in the theater, I had to dawn my Spidey tights. Tom's an incredibly nice guy, called me "buddy" and complimented my costume several times. Huge shoutout to Ace and Tom. I had a spectacular time! Additionally, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Homecoming co-stars Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, and Chris Evans along with the stars of the Punisher Neflix series, Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bacharach. Truth be told, I always wanted to be Spider-Man when I was little, having spent a lot of time watching the 90s animated series, playing the Neversoft video games on Playstation, seeing Sam Raimi's films in the theaters, and reading Ultimate Spider-Man when I was 15. I remember when I was 5, I tried devising ways to become Spider-Man as an adult that included putting suction cups on a costume and swearing that I would one day marry a red-headed woman named Mary Jane. It's years later, and well, I'm still not Spider-Man but I am dressed like him and I met the best actor to ever play him as well as several of Spider-Man: Homecoming's cast. I'm not sure where I'm going with this. Maybe I'm just happy I overcame being self conscious while wearing a spandex jumpsuit in public. Either way, I'm ecstatic over how things went this past weekend. Excelsior!
